Number of brokers under review: CEO Karki

Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Stock Exchange Krishna Bahadur Karki said that it was necessary to review the number of broker companies.

Stating that Nepse is positive for capital market development and expansion, he said that necessary policy reforms are being made. He said that the issue of adding more broker companies was being raised and added that a study was being done on these issues. He said that the number of broker companies will be reviewed soon.

He said that the public interest in the market was good and that it was a good thing for the capital market sector. Stating that the young generation is active in Nepal’s stock market, he said that it is a positive aspect of the market.

He said that in order to make the market mature, one should be fully aware of the stock market and the company he is buying. Chief Executive Officer said that Nepse is ready to make policy reforms for capital market development.
